Domine are an Italian epic/power metal band formed in 1983 in Florence. Their style is characterized by epic melodies and themes inspired by heroic fantasy, literature, mythology, and especially the works of Michael Moorcock. Although they were formed in the mid-1980s, their first official release came much later, in 1997, with the album Champion Eternal, which introduced them to the international metal scene and is today considered a classic.

This was followed by albums such as Dragonlord (Tales of the Noble Steel), Stormbringer Ruler, and Emperor of the Black Runes, which established Domine as one of the most beloved epic metal bands in Europe. Over the years, the band has remained active, with lineup changes but a consistent artistic identity, festival appearances, and strong support from a loyal underground audience. Domine continue to be regarded as important representatives of European epic metal, with a distinctive style full of passion, theatricality, and deep dedication to the genre’s mythic and epic aesthetic.
