TYGERS OF PAN TANG

Tygers of Pan Tang are a legendary British heavy metal band, formed in 1978 in Whitley Bay, England, and are considered an important representative of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement. The original lineup included Robb Weir (guitar), Jess Cox (vocals), Richard “Rocky” Laws (bass), and Brian Dick (drums). In 1980, they released their debut album Wild Cat, which achieved success on the British charts and brought the band to prominence within the metal scene.
Subsequently, with the addition of guitarist John Sykes and singer Jon Deverill, Tygers of Pan Tang achieved even greater recognition with the albums Spellbound (1981), Crazy Nights (1981), and The Cage (1982), which left a strong mark on the genre.
After reuniting in 1999, Tygers of Pan Tang have remained active, releasing new material while keeping their legacy and the passion of the NWOBHM scene alive.
